Personalised Care
Meallmore aims to provide clients with the level of care required to enable them to have a comfortable and fulfilling way of life. Both nursing and care staff have undergone specific training in social care and are committed to those aims set by Meallmore. A friendly, informal and homely approach to care is adopted, affording clients a secure, comfortable and safe environment.
The skills, knowledge and experience of the nursing and care staff ensure that all clients, regardless of ability or level of care, can be accommodated within the care home. This continuity of care is reassuring for both clients and their families.
The autonomy of the client is fully respected and he/she is carefully consulted in the preparation of personalised care plans.
Staff will honour the individual’s beliefs and defer to the client’s choices. Independence is strongly encouraged. For example, many clients enjoy the freedom of catering for some or all of their daily living activities with little or no assistance. Where it is recognised that an individual client has the potential to lead a more independent lifestyle staff will make every effort to facilitate this.
